![]() See the sick skinny artery in "A" and see it again in "B" after some time. Wow ! Talk about preventing a heart attack or a "cardiovascular event" !! Many of my readers may wonder and want to know where I am getting my ideas from. I am sharing a guru here who is inspiring my ideas, just a short video clip below. The professor is such a Stud he is on stage with Deepak Chopra and decides to do his speech holding his small baby in his hands ! Later below, see him from 1990's talking about the same thing on Oprah. From what I am learning, the fact that we can beat diabetes, reverse heart disease etc. is not even considered "debatable" science any more. It is a proven fact. THESE VIDEOS DON'T PLAY ON MOBILES. I am reading from 7+ doctors of equal stature who all believe we can cure diabetes and heart disease. The CHALLENGE as always, is in the Execution. This is where I hope I can make the impact. Reducing stress is a key part of life, for living happily and reducing the breakdown of your body. Not many of my friends have tried the spiritual journey but that's not the point of this post. The point is - are you stepping outside of your comfort zone (in your life)? Are you stepping out of your comfort zone of looking inwards ? Remember you only grow when you step out of your comfort zone.
I am not preaching you follow him. But are you spending any minutes a week towards inwards growth ? Sadhguru helped reduce my stress. Oh and here below is his photo from the conference :) Now I can finally share some of his great words I heard. 2/8/2013 Teflon: Why I think it might be harmful to your health and an alternative to TeflonRead NowIf you want to cook healthy you want to cook with less oil. For that & for re-heating food, a non-stick pan is a lot easier than a regular steel pan. There is only one problem, if you're using Teflon. Teflon is considered "safe" but allow me to swim upstream. I learnt many years ago, when my friend's bird died, that Teflon is toxic to birds. I didn't know that earlier and it didn't make me feel so good. Hey, have you ever wondered where all the scraped off Teflon from an old pan went ? So, though I am no scientist, I have found an alternative that makes me feel safer: Ceramics :) These types of pans work great ! We love them! I feel they are more non-stick than Teflon. Here are photos of some ceramic cookware I can now find. My own set has been packed and is in transit to India. This is the set I have. My approach to health is all encompassing and potential toxins in my cookware are something I choose to avoid. Coming soon : why I stopped using the microwave :0
Just saw this and though I would mention it to all people trying to lose weight. 2/8/2013 Rise of Under 30 Heart Patients! How to save your own life and prevent "Cardiac Events"Read NowJust read about "rise in under 30 heart patients". Bad News. Are you exposed to heart attack risk even with no outward sign ? I see what the newspaper says but I feel it is providing outdated "pre-formatted" solutions to what is a life or death situation.
"Let's blame cholesterol, obesity, stress and smoking and call it a day" is what most articles say, like the one I read. Or "Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables". Hey most Indians are already eating that, or at least 4 servings a day; I am not sure by adding a 5'th serving will shift the trend when it's gotten so bad ! The key problem is that the first heart attack or stroke comes unannounced. People often get stents in heart surgeries, to open blockages. The heart attacks often don't come from these known blockages. They come from when inflammation and plaque are being built up in your arteries and a piece breaks off, going anywhere. This is how someone gets a sudden stroke or heart attack. IF YOU WANT TO LIVE LONGER YOU HAVE TO STOP THESE BREAKAGES OF PLAQUE & THE FORMATION OF PLAQUE IN YOUR ARTERIES. Unfortunately most newspaper articles don't talk much about this. If you wanna stop a heart attack here's what I say :
Jr I recently read a lot about the "Blood Type Diet" since my Brother in Law has been on it. He has lost weight and now weighs 89 kgs (height 5'10") and the dietician says he has plateaued and will not lose more weight. Sounds like he needs to lose a lot more. Ideal weight is 75 Kgs or less for him.
So here's what I found about about the Blood Type Diet : "the philosophy of blood type is very obscure and lacking in science." from WebMd. "significant lack of independent research" from healthline. "Medical experts universally agree that the theory is nonsense" from WeightLossResources. I am not so sure either. Cutting out food groups is never a good idea. I believe in the opposite that you should almost eat all food groups (meats can be excluded). I am recommending to him to focus on H = N/C and to eat low Glycemic Index Foods. Do you have any input on the matter ? Have you tried the "Blood Group Diet"? |
