In addition, the high fructose sugar in cola's will cause your sugar level and insulin to spike, increasing belly fat retention and dropping your HDL. In contrast the high fiber, low sugar carbohydrates in broccoli will not lead to sugar or insulin spikes.
Fiber will fill up your body whereas the soda will leave soon. The protein is nutritious. The minerals in vitamins in broccoli are natural, anything in a soda, like coke, will be artificial. Diabetes is curable. But when modern nutritionists treat all calories as equal you will not be able to heal or avoid diabetes.
